What happens to your files

They are uploaded to this server, kept only while the conversion runs, and deleted an hour after it finishes, on a timer that does not wait for another visitor. A file is uploaded as soon as you choose it, so its first page can be shown; if you close the window instead of converting it, it is deleted there and then, and otherwise an hour later. Only the browser that uploaded a file can see it or download the result, and nothing is passed to anyone else.

No account, no email address, no watermark on the result and no daily limit. Files up to 100 MB are accepted. Your PDF is uploaded to this server to be converted, is never shared with anyone, and is deleted an hour after the conversion finishes whether or not anyone else visits. Only the browser that uploaded a file can see or download the result. If you would rather the file never left your own machine, the converter is open source and you can run this same program yourself.

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (run by Google) to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It records the page you viewed, the page that sent you here, your device and browser, and an approximate location from your IP address. It sets two cookies, "_ga" and "_ga_LFQ1ZGYTMT", which Google keeps for up to two years by default. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles that data. Your uploaded files and their contents are never sent to Google or included in any analytics event.

The converter is open source, so the code that handles your files is there for anyone to read. The source code is on GitHub, and you can run the same program on your own computer, where your files never leave it.
